Gangaramaya – The Lake Temple

Gangaramaya temple is the most popular Buddhist temple in Colombo city. It is located in Slave Island just less than 2Km from the Colombo Fort. This is one of the main tourist attraction in Colombo. During full moon days (poya days) the temple glowing with thousands of light bulbs and decorations. During day time is the best time to visit where you can spend spiritually relaxed time in the temple.
